About the role#
This position supports the Arts and Special Collection Research Center within the Baylor University libraries. You will perform administrative and operational tasks to help the department meet its daily goals. This is a paid, part-time student role.
What you'll do#
- Provide administrative support for daily operations.
- Act as the first point of contact for guests and callers, providing customer service.
- Operate the service desk, including circulation tasks, shelving, and limited reference assistance.
- Generate and analyze reports or perform forecasting.
- Assist with event planning and coordination.
- Maintain internal databases and records.
- Develop new processes and procedures to improve department workflow.
- Work on special projects and initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student, specifically in Business Administration, Communications, History, or Psychology.
- Ability to follow all University policies.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Strong customer service skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Moody Library, Waco, Texas.
- Schedule: 12 hours per week between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm. Preference is given to those available MWF from 8:00 am to 10:00 am or TTH from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm.
- Pay: $10.00 per hour.
