About the role#
The Student Worker for the Department of Art & Art History provides essential administrative support while working closely with the Administrative Manager. This role serves as the primary point of contact for the department, requiring a professional and organized approach to daily office operations.
What you'll do#
- Represent the department as the first point of contact, greeting visitors and directing inquiries to the appropriate resources.
- Manage departmental calendars and handle reservations for student and faculty activities.
- Organize files and office supplies, restock materials, and maintain a clean, orderly workspace.
- Create and update departmental documents and resources.
- Assist with mail and package sorting, data entry, and the preparation of course schedule requests.
- Perform general clerical tasks, including handling correspondence and maintaining office records while ensuring confidentiality.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an Art major.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to remain punctual, reliable, and organized.
- Commitment to complying with all University policies.
Location & details#
- Location: Hooper Schaefer Fine Arts Center, Room 136, Waco, Texas.
- Schedule: 10 hours per week.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Pay: $9.56 per hour.
