About the role#
The Department of Art & Art History is seeking a Student Worker to provide administrative support. This role serves as the first point of contact for the department, assisting students and faculty while working closely with the Administrative Manager. This is a part-time position requiring 10 hours per week for the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Serve as the primary point of contact for front office inquiries and greet visitors.
- Manage departmental calendars and handle reservations for student and faculty activities.
- Organize files, maintain office supplies, and ensure the workspace remains clean and orderly.
- Assist with the creation and verification of faculty course schedules.
- Prepare, update, and maintain departmental documents and resources.
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including mail, packages, and phone messages.
- Perform data entry, maintain spreadsheets, and assist with general clerical tasks.

- Current enrollment as an Art major.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Dedicated, organized, and reliable work habits.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance.
- Commitment to complying with all University policies and maintaining confidentiality.

- Location: Hooper Schaefer Fine Arts Center, Room 136, Waco, Texas.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Pay rate: $9.56 per hour.
