About the role#
The Department of Art & Art History is hiring a student worker to provide administrative support. You will work alongside the Administrative Manager to keep the front office running smoothly. This position is for the Fall 2026 term and requires a 10-hour weekly commitment.
What you'll do#
- Act as the first point of contact for the department, greeting visitors and answering inquiries.
- Manage departmental calendars and handle room reservations for students and faculty.
- Organize files, restock office supplies, and maintain a clean workspace.
- Assist with mail distribution and package tracking.
- Create and update departmental documents and resources.
- Help faculty with course schedule requests and verification.
- Perform general administrative tasks including data entry and filing.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an Art major.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to provide helpful customer service to students and faculty.
- Punctuality and a dedicated approach to your work.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
- Commitment to following all University policies.

- This role is located at the Hooper Schaefer Fine Arts Center, Room 136, in Waco, Texas.
- This is an on-site, paid position at $9.56 per hour.
