About the role#
The Department of Art & Art History is seeking a Student Worker to provide broad administrative support. Working closely with the Administrative Manager, you will serve as the first point of contact for the department, ensuring the office runs efficiently while maintaining a professional and welcoming environment for students and faculty.
What you'll do#
- Act as the primary point of contact for front office inquiries, directing visitors and students to the appropriate resources.
- Manage departmental calendars and handle reservations for student and faculty activities.
- Organize files and supplies, restock materials, and maintain the cleanliness of the office.
- Create and update departmental documents and resources.
- Assist with course schedule requests, including collection, verification, and data entry.
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including mail, packages, and phone calls.
- Perform general clerical tasks such as filing, record keeping, and report preparation.

- Enrollment as an Art major.
- Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Punctuality, dedication, and a commitment to maintaining regular attendance.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with strict confidentiality.
- Ability to comply with all University policies.

- Location: Hooper Schaefer Fine Arts Center, Room 136, Waco, Texas.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Schedule: 10 hours per week.
- Compensation: $9.56 per hour.
