About the role#
The Greater Waco YMCA is hiring student workers to support their after-school programs for elementary students. You will serve as a role model for children in kindergarten through 5th grade while helping them learn and grow through play. This role is based in schools throughout Waco ISD.
What you'll do#
- Supervise and engage children during after-school hours.
- Lead groups through a set curriculum including painting, coloring, singing, and various games.
- Create a safe and fun environment for students.
- Work flexible hours between 2:30 pm and 6:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- A high school diploma is required.
- You must be able to pass a background check and a drug screen.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to engage with children are essential.
- This role is open to students across various majors, including Psychology, Sociology, Nursing, Public Health, Human Resources, Urban Planning, Communications, and Art.
Location & details#
- Location: Greater Waco YMCA, Waco, Texas.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Schedule: Part-time, 5-10 hours per week.
- Compensation: $13.00 to $14.00 per hour.
