About the role#
As an Advancement Ambassador at the Baylor University Engagement Center, you will serve as a direct point of contact for alumni, parents, and friends of the university. This role focuses on building relationships and sharing university updates. You will gain practical experience in communication, negotiation, and professional networking.
What you'll do#
- Reach out to the Baylor community via phone, text, or video to share university news.
- Discuss opportunities to support scholarships, research, and campus initiatives.
- Keep alumni and donors informed about upcoming events.
- Express appreciation to individuals for their past support or event attendance.
- Verify and update contact information for alumni, parents, and friends.
- Assist with marketing and communications projects as needed.
What you'll need#
- You must be a current Baylor undergraduate student, or a graduate student who completed their undergraduate degree at Baylor.
- A solid understanding of Baylor history, traditions, and events is required.
- You must be able to work at least three shifts per week.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and a goal-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A self-motivated approach to building rapport with diverse groups of people.
- Reliability in maintaining a consistent work schedule and following university policies.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site at the Clifton Robinson Tower in Waco, Texas.
- Employment covers the Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 terms.
- This is a paid, part-time role.
