About the role#
This position supports the Advancement team at Mission Waco through administrative tasks, donor relations, and communications outreach. You will work alongside the Associate Executive Director and the Director of Events and Communications to support fundraising efforts and program storytelling. This is a paid, part-time student role requiring 10 to 20 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Manage donor correspondence, including thank-you letters, emails, and acknowledgment mailings.
- Assist with the preparation of donor meetings, tours, and events.
- Organize and assemble donor packets, newsletters, and campaign materials.
- Gather stories, testimonials, and program updates for use in advancement communications.
- Create social media content, graphics, and flyers to support various programs.
- Provide general administrative support to ensure consistent donor communication.
What you'll need#
- Current eligibility for Federal Work-Study.
- Ability to operate a DSLR or 4K camera.
- Proficiency in video editing with Adobe Premiere.
- Experience creating content on design platforms.
- Organizational skills, a flexible attitude, and a willingness to learn.
- Preferred majors include Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Graphic Design, Art, or Public Health.
- Social media knowledge is preferred.

- Location: On-site in Waco, Texas.
- Term: Fall 2026 with rolling availability.
- Compensation: $11.00 to $12.50 per hour depending on experience and student status.
- Transportation: Reliable transportation is required for this off-campus position.
