About the role#
The Store Worker serves as a student employee within the Office of Success and Engagement at Baylor University. This role provides operational support for the campus food pantry, ensuring that students have access to resources in a respectful and confidential environment. This position is open to students in Business Administration, Psychology, Sociology, Nutrition, Public Health, and Communications.
What you'll do#
- Welcome and assist students utilizing The Store in a friendly and professional manner.
- Stock shelves, refrigerators, and freezers to maintain an organized shopping environment.
- Receive, sort, and inventory incoming food donations and deliveries.
- Monitor inventory levels and notify supervisors when supplies need replenishing.
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards throughout the pantry and storage areas.
- Assist with data entry, check-in procedures, and inventory tracking.
- Help prepare orders for campus food distribution sites and special programs.
- Support volunteer groups during service projects and donation drives.
- Assist with campus outreach events, such as the Baylor Free Farmers Market.
What you'll need#
- Ability to comply with all University policies.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Provide excellent customer service to in-person guests.
- Ability to monitor inventory levels and perform administrative tasks.

- Location: The Store, Waco, Texas.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Terms: Fall 2026 and Fall 2027.
- Commitment: Minimum of 10 hours per week.
