About the role#
This position supports Campus Recreation by capturing high-quality photo and video content. The role is designed for students interested in visual storytelling, sports photography, and media production who want to build their portfolios while documenting intramurals, club sports, and fitness events.
What you'll do#
- Attend assigned Campus Recreation events to capture photo and video content.
- Compose shots that reflect the energy and community of each event.
- Follow creative direction and shot lists provided by the Communications Manager.
- Edit photos and organize content weekly in shared folders with clear file names.
- Stay current on visual content trends, such as Reels and behind-the-scenes clips.
What you'll need#
- Experience with photo and video editing software.
- Proficiency in light editing tools such as Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, or CapCut.
- Ability to organize digital assets effectively.
- Knowledge of current visual content trends.
- Willingness to work some evenings and weekends.
- Enrollment in majors such as Media Studies, Communications, or Graphic Design.

- Location: McLane Student Life Center, Waco, Texas.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Minimum 15 hours per week.
- Compensation: $10 per hour.
