About the role#
The Office Assistant provides administrative support to the South Russell Hall community at Baylor University. This role serves as a resource for residents, visitors, and staff while maintaining the safety and security of the residential environment.
What you'll do#
- Monitor door security and notify appropriate staff regarding any issues.
- Provide administrative assistance to residents, including room access support and equipment check-outs.
- Maintain accurate log books for administrative tasks such as maintenance issues, lost and found items, and equipment tracking.
- Assist residents in communicating concerns to hall staff.
- Enforce and uphold Campus Living & Learning policies and procedures.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in typing and the ability to learn front desk software.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work effectively on a team.
- Sound judgment to respond to needs or crises as they arise.
- Ability to provide customer service to a diverse population.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Communications, or Psychology.

- Location: South Russell Residence Hall, Waco, Texas.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: 5-20 hours per week, between 7 a.m. and 1 a.m.
- Compensation: $8.00 per hour.
