Office Assistant - Ruth Collins Hall - BC

About the role#

The Office Assistant provides administrative support to the residential community at Ruth Collins Hall. In this role, you serve as a primary resource for residents, visitors, and staff, helping to maintain the safety, security, and daily operations of the residence hall.

What you'll do#

• Provide administrative support to residents, including room access assistance and equipment check-outs.
• Monitor door security and report issues to appropriate hall staff.
• Maintain accurate logs for maintenance requests, equipment, lost and found, and gift registries.
• Enforce and uphold Campus Living & Learning policies and procedures.
• Assist residents in communicating concerns to hall staff.
• Perform general office tasks, including data entry, filing, correspondence, and organizing common areas.

What you'll need#

• Proficiency in typing and the ability to learn front desk computer programs.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact with a diverse population.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Sound judgment to respond to needs or crises as they arise.
• Ability to complete administrative tasks as requested.
• Majors in Business Administration, Human Resources, Communications, Psychology, Sociology, or Public Health are preferred.

• Term: Fall 2026.
• Modality: On-site.
• Schedule: Flexible, 5-20 hours per week, including weekdays and weekends.
