About the role#
The Office Assistant provides administrative support to the residential community at Ruth Collins Hall. In this role, you serve as a primary resource for residents, visitors, and staff, helping to maintain the safety, security, and daily operations of the residence hall.
What you'll do#
- Provide administrative support to residents, including room access assistance and equipment check-outs.
- Monitor door security and report issues to appropriate hall staff.
- Maintain accurate logs for maintenance requests, equipment, lost and found, and gift registries.
- Enforce and uphold Campus Living & Learning policies and procedures.
- Assist residents in communicating concerns to hall staff.
- Perform general office tasks, including data entry, filing, correspondence, and organizing common areas.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in typing and the ability to learn front desk computer programs.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact with a diverse population.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Sound judgment to respond to needs or crises as they arise.
- Ability to complete administrative tasks as requested.
- Majors in Business Administration, Human Resources, Communications, Psychology, Sociology, or Public Health are preferred.

- Schedule: Flexible, 5-20 hours per week, including weekdays and weekends.
