About the role#
The Office Assistant provides administrative support to the Teal Residential College community at Baylor University. This role serves as a primary resource for residents, parents, visitors, and staff while maintaining the safety and security of the residential environment.
What you'll do#
- Monitor door security and report issues to residence hall staff.
- Provide administrative assistance to residents, including room access support and equipment check-out.
- Maintain accurate log books for unlock codes, maintenance requests, lost and found items, and gift registries.
- Support residents by helping them communicate concerns to hall staff.
- Enforce housing policies and procedures.
- Complete additional administrative tasks as assigned by the Residence Hall Director.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in majors such as Business Administration, Public Health, or Psychology.
- Ability to uphold customer service standards and act as a helpful referral agent.
- Capacity to verify resident identity and apply escort and visitation policies.
- Knowledge of on-campus resources and locations.
