About the role#
This internship supports Charity Champions by securing funding for various nonprofit organizations. You will work in a student employee capacity to assist external community service partners, spending at least 50 percent of your time working on-site at the organization's offices.
What you'll do#
- Identify 10 viable grants and draft 5 proposals to foundations and grant-making organizations each semester.
- Finalize and submit at least 3 grant proposals by the end of the semester.
- Research potential leads for government, corporate, and foundation grants.
- Analyze the needs of nonprofits to support their mission and programs through persuasive communication.
- Gather statistics, facts, and relevant local or national information to support grant applications.
- Comply with all grant reporting requirements for government, foundation, and corporate donors.
- Attend weekly meetings with the intern team and maintain at least one weekly touch point with the organization you serve.
What you'll need#
- Strong persuasive communication and research skills.
- Proficiency in grant writing.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Enrollment in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Communications, Public Health, Political Science, or Psychology.
