About the role#
The Center for Academic Success and Engagement is hiring a Graduate Student to serve as an Academic Mentor. This part-time position involves working directly with students to support their academic progress and personal development during their time at the university.
What you'll do#
- Hold weekly one-on-one meetings with students.
- Help students navigate the challenges of college life.
- Provide guidance on accountability and academic success.
- Assist students in identifying and using effective study strategies.
- Assess the needs of each student throughout the semester.
- Maintain accurate files for every student you mentor.
What you'll need#
- Strong organization skills.
- Excellent time-management skills.
- Strong listening skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Sid Richardson Building, 1410 S 4th Street, Waco, TX.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Up to 20 hours per week, between 8 am and 5 pm.
- Employment term: Rolling, starting Spring/Summer 2026.
