Audience Research and Data Analysis Internship - BC

About the role#

This internship supports the Mayborn Museum in its goal to become a data-driven organization by systematically collecting, analyzing, and reporting on visitor experience data. You will receive training in human subject research and data evaluation while contributing to the Collaboration for Ongoing Visitor Experience Studies (COVES) project. This role is a paid student employee position.

What you'll do#

• Assist with the planning, set-up, and implementation of the 23-question COVES survey.
• Administer the COVES survey to museum visitors for 4 hours each week.
• Create monthly reports based on survey data to share with the museum.
• Plan and facilitate volunteer trainings regarding survey administration.
• Assist your supervisor in evaluating the effectiveness of survey efforts.
• Complete other evaluation or market research projects as assigned.

What you'll need#

• Creative thinking skills and a general interest in evaluation.
• An outgoing personality with experience interacting with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to work independently on personal projects and effectively within team situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate clearly in written and spoken English.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Majors in Data Science, Statistics, Psychology, Communications, or Business Administration are preferred.

• Location: Mayborn Museum, Waco, Texas.
• Term: Summer 2026.
• Schedule: 12 hours per week.
• Duration: 5 months.
• Modality: On-site.
• Pay: $10.00/hr.
