About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship based in Myerstown, Pennsylvania. You will work on-site at our manufacturing facility. This role involves a rolling term and requires collaboration with plant personnel and external vendors to drive process improvements.
What you'll do#
- Identify and execute projects focused on changeover reduction, 5S, Pareto Analysis, time studies, and value stream mapping.
- Troubleshoot maintenance and reliability issues directly on the manufacturing floor.
- Collect and analyze data to inform decision-making.
- Review equipment specifications and learn the operations of pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment like mixers, tablet compressors, and coaters.
- Implement process solutions alongside non-union plant staff.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Masters degree program in Computer, Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering, Data Science, or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
- Completion of at least one year of a Bachelor degree program.
- Experience with data analysis and root cause analysis.
- Strong computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office and Excel Pivot Tables.
- A basic understanding of production floor automation and Process Control Systems.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
