About the role#
The Apparel Design Internship is a 10-week immersive program based at our headquarters in Springfield, Missouri. You will work alongside our development team to gain hands-on experience in the retail apparel industry. This is a full-time, paid position requiring 40 hours per week on-site.
What you'll do#
- Perform initial product reviews of samples and work with the development team to resolve issues with materials, pricing, or specifications.
- Maintain and update tech packs in our PLM system, focusing on sizing, fit standards, and development feedback.
- Present samples to the merchant team for feedback and communicate necessary revisions to factories.
- Provide style development feedback to vendors and team members.
- Prepare samples and product analysis documentation for review sessions.
- Collaborate with the design team to ensure all products meet our brand standards.
- Take notes during meetings and inform vendors and team members of project updates.
- Communicate comments and corrections to our overseas offices, factories, and quality control teams.
- Track project deadlines to ensure they are met.
- Manage daily communication and follow-up tasks with the development team and overseas vendors.
What you'll need#
- You must be a student who has completed their Junior year of college or is currently in their graduating year.
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Ability to commit to the full 10-week program.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- Ability to relocate to Springfield, Missouri, for the duration of the program.
