About the role#
As a Technical Agronomy Summer Intern, you will gain hands-on experience by supporting large-scale agronomic trials. This role involves working directly with growers, retailers, and BASF teams. You will contribute to agricultural solutions while building your own career foundation. This is a full-time, paid position for the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Organize and manage large-scale trials, including demonstration strips.
- Conduct evaluations on seed treatments, herbicides, and fungicides.
- Gain practical experience with seeding, spraying, and harvesting.
- Operate ATVs and pull-behind sprayers to transport equipment between trial sites.
- Present a research project to your peers and senior leadership.
- Participate in customer tours, field events, and various team activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an agriculture science or related degree program, with plans to return to studies after the internship.
- A valid driver's licence.
- Ability to travel within your assigned region and work independently.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety.
- Enthusiasm for agronomy and a desire to learn.
- Previous experience with farm equipment and sprayers is an asset.

- Locations: Edmonton, Alberta or Red Deer, Alberta.
- Term: Summer 2027 (4 months).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $25 - $32 per hour.
