About the role#
We are looking for an Agronomic Excellence Summer Associate to join our Agricultural Solutions team. You will work with the local Agronomic Excellence group to evaluate canola hybrids, seed technology, and various agronomic practices. This is a full-time, paid position for the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Conduct field trials and assist with activities from seeding to harvest.
- Manage tasks including seed set up, land preparation, planting, pest control, plot maintenance, and harvesting.
- Supervise casual employees when required.
- Travel throughout your local region to perform field scouting and diagnose crop health.
- Monitor research plots daily, collect data, and perform analysis.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Agriculture degree program.
- Previous experience in the agriculture industry and field research.
- Practical experience with agriculture equipment.
- A valid driver's license.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to remain flexible and adjust plans as situations arise.
- A focus on delivering results for both individual and team goals.
Location & details#
- Positions are available in Moose Jaw, Swift Current, and Regina, Saskatchewan.
- This is an on-site role.
- The contract duration is 4 to 6 months during the summer of 2027.
