About the role#
We are looking for an Organic Social Content Intern to help build Base into a distinctive and trusted energy brand. You will own the day-to-day operation of our organic channels, from developing the content calendar to engaging with our audience. This is a hands-on creative role where you will turn our products, customers, and mission into platform-native stories.
What you'll do#
- Own the organic social strategy, content calendar, and publishing cadence across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, X, and emerging platforms.
- Develop original, recurring content series.
- Concept, script, capture, edit, write, and publish content including short-form video, photos, graphics, carousels, and written posts.
- Find stories across our customers, products, installations, employees, and markets.
- Balance planned programming with reactive content to engage with cultural moments.
- Manage workflows, including briefs, assets, and platform-specific adaptations.
- Collaborate with design, marketing, product, and operations teams.
- Build relationships with our audience by responding to comments and messages.
- Track performance metrics like reach, shares, saves, watch time, and engagement to inform future content.
- Monitor platform changes and internet culture.
What you'll need#
- Experience creating and managing organic social content for a consumer brand, creative agency, or similar organization.
- A portfolio of original social work demonstrating strong ideas and measurable growth.
- Hands-on skills in scripting, filming, editing, copywriting, and packaging content.
- Strong short-form video instincts, including hooks, pacing, and storytelling.
- Proficiency with mobile-first editing tools like CapCut or Premiere.
- Excellent writing skills and the ability to make technical subjects clear and human.
- Deep familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and X.
- Comfort working both behind and in front of the camera.
- A data-informed mindset to interpret performance and apply lessons to new creative work.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a high-output calendar.
- A proactive, resourceful attitude.
- Current pursuit of a degree in Marketing, Communications, or Media Studies.
