About the role#
We are looking for an Accounting Intern to gain hands-on experience with the core functions of our accounting team. You will support our month-end close, maintain accurate books, and see how accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reporting work in practice. This role focuses on the fundamentals, including journal entries and reconciliations. You will also have the opportunity to use AI tools to automate manual tasks and improve our monthly reporting processes.
What you'll do#
- Assist with month-end close tasks, such as journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card activity, and intercompany transactions.
- Use AI tools to streamline repetitive tasks and automate reconciliations.
- Help develop and enhance our monthly reporting processes.
- Assist with fixed asset tracking and depreciation schedules.
- Prepare supporting schedules for audits and tax filings.
- Maintain organized documentation for accounting processes and controls.
- Assist with ad hoc analysis and projects as needed.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Foundational understanding of accounting principles like debits, credits, and basic GAAP concepts.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Comfort working in spreadsheets such as Excel or Google Sheets.
- Curiosity about using AI and automation to improve accounting efficiency.
- Eagerness to learn the full accounting close process.
- Ability to communicate clearly and ask good questions.
- Experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems is a plus.

- This is an on-site role based in Austin, Texas.
- The position is full-time and paid.
- We are hiring on a rolling basis.
