About the role#
As a Hardware Engineering Intern, you will work on every phase of product development from early prototyping to production support. You will work alongside experienced engineers to design, build, and test components for batteries, inverters, and microgrid devices. This role involves hands-on work with hardware that moves from the lab into the field.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with senior engineers to design, simulate, build, and test electrical and mechanical systems.
- Participate in prototyping, debugging, and iterative testing of hardware.
- Support both R&D and production efforts, ranging from initial breadboards to high-volume manufacturing.
- Diagnose and solve performance, thermal, and integration issues.
- Contribute to system documentation, test procedures, and design reviews.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a junior, senior, or graduate student in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- A strong understanding of electrical or mechanical engineering fundamentals.
- A desire to build hardware that functions in real-world conditions.
- Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks or Fusion 360 is a plus.
- A curious and self-motivated approach to solving difficult technical problems.
