About the role#
The business operations team is a lean group of generalists. We take high-stakes, undefined problems, give them structure, and drive them to completion. As an MBA intern, you will own a real piece of this work for the summer. You will pick up a slice of what the team is currently managing and drive it to a decision.
What you'll do#
- Cover one part of the business, including its plan, unit costs, and tradeoffs.
- Own a discrete project end to end, such as a market entry, a product launch, or an acquisition integration.
- Structure problems yourself by defining goals and writing the memos that force tradeoffs.
- Build your own analysis, including models, scoreboards, and one-pagers.
- Access data directly from our warehouse, install logs, and AI tools.
- Work across functions like engineering, manufacturing, and customer operations without formal authority.
- Spend time where the work happens, including ride-alongs on installs and time on the manufacturing floor.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an MBA and returning for your second year in the fall.
- 2 to 5 years of pre-MBA experience.
- Comfort working with data, including existing SQL skills or a willingness to learn it immediately.
- Ability to operate without a map and create structure where none exists.
- Low ego and high ownership, with a willingness to take on any task.
- Fluency in using AI tools to multiply your output.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship located in Austin, Texas.
- The role is on-site and scheduled for Summer 2027.
