About the role#
The Quantitative Finance Associate Summer Internship Program is a 10-week opportunity for students to join a Quant-focused business area at Barclays. This program is designed to provide hands-on experience within teams such as Markets Quantitative Analytics, Risk Quantitative Analytics, or Electronic Trading. You will work on algorithmic trading strategies, develop financial models, and create data analysis tools for risk management and valuation.
What you'll do#
- Provide insights and expertise to help senior colleagues make informed decisions.
- Execute small research projects and develop business cases for new products.
- Prepare presentations and reports to communicate research findings.
- Collaborate with senior management to implement research findings and support business initiatives.
- Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple internal and external sources.
- Manage client relationships and provide customer service support.
- Train and mentor junior colleagues.
- Influence and convince stakeholders to achieve project outcomes.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance your technical skills.
What you'll need#
We welcome applicants from academic backgrounds including Finance, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Business Administration, or Computer Engineering. You should be prepared to work on complex analytical tasks and collaborate across functional teams.
