About the role#
This surgical technologist internship involves managing the decontamination, sterilization, distribution, and storage of medical supplies, instruments, and equipment. You will work within infection control guidelines to ensure that all items are cleaned, inspected, assembled, and packaged correctly for hospital use.
What you'll do#
- Clean, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, package, sterilize, store, and distribute medical supplies and equipment.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives and demonstrate fiscal management.
- Maintain a proper environment of care.
- Complete assigned goals and participate in ongoing education.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student in a surgical or cardiovascular technologist program.
- Ability to meet or exceed all academic requirements.
- Proficiency in communicating clearly and effectively in written and oral English.
- Ability to write legibly and record information accurately.
- Computer literacy.

- Location: Columbus, Mississippi.
- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship with a rolling term.
