About the role#
The Intern-Nurse II (CCU) provides technical assistance and patient care support within the Critical Care Unit. This role focuses on assisting registered nurses to achieve quality patient outcomes while developing clinical skills and knowledge.
What you'll do#
- Assess patients under the direction of a registered nurse.
- Contribute to, implement, and evaluate patient care plans as directed.
- Provide direct patient care and general assistance to the nursing staff.
- Participate in activities to improve health care delivery and clinical leadership.
- Complete assigned goals and engage in ongoing educational activities.
What you'll need#
- Graduation from a registered nursing program and currently awaiting licensure.
- Ability to obtain BLS certification within 14 days of the hire date.
- Computer literacy.
- Note that the intern must remain in this job category for no longer than 90 days following graduation.
