About the role#
The Intern-Nurse I provides technical assistance and patient care under the direction of a registered nurse. This role supports the nursing team to achieve quality patient outcomes while building clinical knowledge and leadership skills.
What you'll do#
- Assess patients under the direction of a registered nurse.
- Contribute to, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Provide direct patient care and general assistance to the nursing staff.
- Participate in activities to improve health care delivery and complete assigned goals.
- Engage in ongoing educational activities to build clinical knowledge.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time senior student in an approved registered nursing program, with a projected graduation date within one year.
- Ability to meet or exceed all academic requirements.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, to be obtained within 14 days of hire.
- Basic computer literacy.
