About the role#
The New Nurse Experience Student Preceptorship is designed for nursing students graduating between April and June 2027. This program offers a collaborative environment where you work alongside an experienced Registered Nurse. You will be placed in specialized units at Banner Health facilities to receive clinical mentorship from unit staff and educators. This position is unpaid, though you may be eligible to receive credit through your school.
What you'll do#
- Refine your nursing skills and enhance your clinical knowledge.
- Develop personal and professional relationships with staff.
- Participate in clinical mentorship activities.
- Gain exposure to specialized units, including Medical Surgical and Progressive Care.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited nursing program.
- A current GPA of 3.2 or higher.
- A current BLS card from the American Heart Association or the ability to obtain one before your rotation starts.
- A BSN or MSN degree path is preferred.
Location & details#
- The program is located in Greeley and Fort Collins, Colorado.
- This is an on-site, part-time opportunity for the Winter 2027 term.
- Please note that students from certain institutions are ineligible for this program.
