About the role#
The New Nurse Experience Student Preceptorship is for nursing students graduating between April and June of 2027. This program offers 4th semester students a collaborative environment to gain clinical experience. You will work alongside an experienced Registered Nurse and receive mentorship from unit staff and educators. The program aims to align your career goals with the needs of the organization. Students who complete this program may be considered for a transition into the Banner New Nurse Experience Program as a full-time Registered Nurse after they obtain their license.
What you'll do#
- Work alongside an experienced Registered Nurse.
- Refine your nursing skills and enhance your clinical knowledge.
- Develop personal and professional relationships within the hospital.
- Receive clinical mentorship from unit staff and educators.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited nursing program.
- A current GPA of 3.2 or higher.
- A current BLS card through the American Heart Association or the ability to obtain one before the clinical rotation starts.
- A BSN or MSN degree is preferred.
Location & details#
- This is an unpaid, non-benefited position. You may be eligible to receive credit through your school.
- The program is on-site and offered at various locations in Phoenix, Mesa, Tucson, Glendale, Sun City, Florence, Gilbert, and Casa Grande, Arizona.
- This is a part-time commitment for the Winter 2027 term.
