About the role#
This position is exclusively for current Baker Tilly Summer 2026 interns seeking conversion to a full-time Public Sector Finance Consultant role. You will work directly with public sector entities to provide objective analysis, planning, and solutions for financial and operational projects. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity.
What you'll do#
- Assist public sector entities in evaluating financial and operational risks.
- Perform internal audit testing and analysis according to established audit programs.
- Prepare clear and concise workpapers to support audit findings and conclusions.
- Analyze organizational strategies, structures, and operations.
- Build and maintain professional relationships through internal and external networking.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor’s degree is required. A Master of Public Policy, Master of Public Administration, or similar technical degree is preferred.
- Outstanding academic performance, with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability in time management, communication, and interpersonal collaboration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Initiative and adaptability when working in team environments.
