About the role#
This position is a cross-functional role focused on providing grant management, compliance consulting, internal audit services, and policy development support. The work primarily serves governmental, tribal, and not-for-profit entities. This role is open exclusively to current Baker Tilly Summer 2026 interns for conversion to a full-time position in Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support project start-up and planning activities, including research and documentation of compliance requirements.
- Perform detailed grant compliance testing, such as reviewing financial reports and invoices.
- Conduct detailed transaction testing to ensure compliance with established criteria.
- Attend client interviews and meetings to review documents and reports.
- Assist in consulting activities by performing analysis and preparing client deliverables, including findings, recommendations, and reports.
- Review your own documentation and work for accuracy.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field (Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Political Science, Public Health, Human Resources, or Communications).
- Coursework in technology-related fields is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to travel to client locations, including overnight stays.
- Must be a current Summer 2026 Baker Tilly intern.

- This is an on-site, full-time position for Summer 2027.
- Locations: San Francisco, California and Albuquerque, New Mexico.
