About the role#
The Capital Projects Advisory Staff position is open exclusively to individuals currently participating in the Summer 2026 Baker Tilly internship program. This full-time role supports the Construction and Real Estate Advisory practice by assisting with construction program reviews, contract cost audits, and real estate management assessments. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide consulting advice that enhances transparency and operational efficiency for clients managing capital projects and real estate portfolios.
What you'll do#
- Conduct reviews and analyses of construction and real estate management processes, controls, and compliance frameworks.
- Perform assessments of construction contracts and real estate lease agreements to ensure adherence to contractual terms and industry best practices.
- Provide actionable recommendations to improve construction and real estate operations.
- Assist with fieldwork activities, including data collection and site visits, and prepare reports summarizing findings for clients.
- Collaborate with project managers, asset managers, and other stakeholders to support project oversight and risk mitigation.
What you'll need#
- Must be a current Summer 2026 Baker Tilly intern.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Building Science, Construction Management, Accounting, or a related field.
- Previous field construction experience on various project types.
- Ability to commute and travel to client locations as needed, including potential overnight stays.
- Flexibility to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, based on seasonal project demands.
