About the role#
Software Developer interns join our team to build and deliver quality software for our clients. You will work in a collaborative environment focused on software craftsmanship and adding value to our business. This internship is year-round, requiring full-time hours during the summer and part-time hours during the school semesters. You will gain professional experience by applying classroom knowledge to real projects while building relationships with experienced developers.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the development and build of new and existing solutions using the full .NET stack and HTML with JavaScript frameworks.
- Support testing, documentation, and the implementation of product features.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, business owner demos, and team retrospectives.
- Collaborate and pair with experienced software developers.
- Experience our culture through shadowing and mentorship from team members and leaders.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing an associate or bachelor degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, information systems, or a related field.
- Anticipated graduation date of May 2028 or later.
- Experience or exposure to one or more of the following: VB.NET, C#, SQL Server, WCF Service, Java, or Object-Oriented Design.
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented software design.
- Coursework or experience in Python, SQL, or data visualization is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with organizational excellence.
- High level of motivation, proactivity, and strategic thinking.
Location & details#
- This is a hybrid position with three days per week in our downtown Milwaukee or downtown Madison offices and two days remote.
- The internship is paid.
- We are seeking students who can start in June 2027.
- Sponsorship for employment visa status is not provided.
