About the role#
This internship supports the Capital Markets Compliance team at Baird. You will work on regulatory technology (RegTech) data solutions while learning how laws and ethical standards apply to the financial services industry. The role provides insight into how compliance policies function within our Capital Markets businesses.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and test RegTech data solutions.
- Create data visualizations using Python, SQL, and PowerBI.
- Collaborate with internal business partners to understand how data influences compliance and business decisions.
- Participate in team meetings, discussions, and special projects.
- Gain exposure to critical business data problems.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or business analytics.
- An anticipated graduation date of May 2028 or later.
- Proficiency with Python, SQL, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive approach and commitment to learning.
Location & details#
- Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
- Modality: Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote).
- Term: Winter 2027 start.
- Schedule: Full-time (37.5-40 hours) during summer and part-time (15-20 hours) during school semesters.
