About the role#
B+H Architects is looking for an Intern Architect to join our healthcare team in Toronto. You will support the delivery of complex healthcare and institutional projects across all phases of design and construction. This role involves working within a multidisciplinary environment to produce technical documentation and ensure projects meet quality and schedule standards.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and coordinate architectural drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Assist with drawing updates, RFI responses, submittal reviews, and contract administration.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams.
- Contribute to design development, technical detailing, and project planning.
- Support project managers and senior architects in managing deliverables and quality standards.
- Participate in client meetings, design workshops, and coordination sessions.
- Ensure work complies with building codes, accessibility requirements, and industry standards.
- Contribute to our studio culture.
What you'll need#
- A degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
- At least 5 years of professional experience, ideally with healthcare or institutional projects.
- Experience supporting projects through multiple design and construction phases.
- Strong technical detailing and construction documentation skills.
- Proficiency in Revit and BIM-based project delivery.
- Working knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and industry standards.
- Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary consultant teams.
- Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment.
- OAA Intern Architect registration or progress toward registration.
