About the role#
Avancez LLC is seeking an Operations Intern for our Lansing, Michigan facility. This full-time, paid internship offers an opportunity to gain experience in manufacturing management. The role is on-site and follows a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Ensure compliance with company quality policies, values, and philosophies.
- Facilitate team member training, including onboarding and on-the-job training, while creating or modifying training content.
- Participate in daily 5S activities and drive a safety-focused culture.
- Assist with audit processes to identify gaps in policies and procedures, implementing corrective actions for nonconformities.
- Validate daily operational documents and participate in staffing and scheduling activities.
- Collaborate across departments to support facility operations and engagement activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited bachelor's degree program, preferably in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or Mechanical Engineering, with at least one year completed.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- High proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to build positive relationships and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Strong skills in data-based decision making, problem solving, and planning.
- Previous work experience is preferred.
