About the role#
Avancez LLC is seeking an Operations Intern for its Lansing, Michigan facility. This position is a full-time, paid, rolling internship within the automotive industry. The role focuses on supporting manufacturing operations, quality compliance, and team development.
What you'll do#
- Ensure compliance with company quality policies, values, and philosophies.
- Facilitate team member training, including onboarding and the creation or modification of training content.
- Participate in daily 5S activities and drive a culture of safety throughout the facility.
- Audit internal policies and procedures to identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
- Validate daily operational documents and assist with staffing and scheduling activities.
- Communicate and collaborate with various departments across the facility to support operational goals.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Bachelor's degree program in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, with at least one year of coursework completed.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- High proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and general computer literacy.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to use data-based decision making and prioritize work activities effectively.
- Previous work experience is preferred.
