About the role#
As an Engineering Co-op, you will support our engineering team with sustaining projects and new product development. You will gain hands-on experience in manufacturing, process development, and quality assurance while working on a variety of technical assignments. This position is based in Minnetonka and follows a rolling term schedule.
What you'll do#
- Write and execute process validation and qualification protocols.
- Design test protocols, equipment, and systems.
- Conduct research for engineering tasks assigned by your supervisor.
- Perform testing and write formal test reports.
- Identify improvements for assembly processes and equipment.
- Support pilot build activities, including component flow and production associate training.
- Perform root cause analysis and organize inspection data.
- Document all work according to the AtriCure Quality System and corporate policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program for Biomedical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- A high school diploma.
- A goal to start a career in mechanical, manufacturing, or engineering fields.
- Ability to regularly walk, sit, or stand.
- Ability to occasionally bend, push, and pull.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and occasionally lift over 25 pounds.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

- This role is located on-site in Minnetonka, Minnesota.
- This is a paid, full-time position.
- There is a 5% possibility of travel.
