About the role#
This internship or co-op position offers an opportunity to gain practical experience in engineering, manufacturing, assembly techniques, and process development within the medical device industry. You will support both sustaining engineering and new product activities while working on-site at our Pleasanton facility. This is a paid, full-time role with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Perform research for engineering projects as assigned by your supervisor.
- Write process validation and qualification protocols, perform qualification activities, and document results.
- Design test protocols, equipment, and systems.
- Document and install process equipment.
- Support pilot build activities, including training production associates and organizing inspection data.
- Conduct testing in accordance with the quality system and assist with root cause analysis.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or master’s degree program in Biomedical, Mechanical, or a related Engineering field.
- A high school diploma.
- A strong desire to initiate a career in mechanical, manufacturing, or engineering within the medical device industry.
- Ability to regularly walk, sit, or stand, and occasionally bend or push/pull.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 25 pounds, with the occasional need to lift more than 25 pounds.

- Location: Pleasanton, California.
- Work Modality: This role is strictly on-site.
- Availability: Candidates must be available to work on-site for a minimum of 20 hours per week.
- Travel: There is a 5% possibility of travel associated with this position.
