Electrical Engineering Intern, High Frequency Power Electronics - Fall

About the role#

Atomic Semi is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern for the fall term to focus on high-frequency power electronics. You will be responsible for developing and testing compact RF systems used within our fabrication tools. The role requires a hands-on approach to identify problems, prototype solutions, and deliver finished hardware that supports our goal of rebuilding the chip fabrication process. This position requires a portfolio demonstrating medium-to-high complexity systems you have built.

What you'll do#

• Contribute to the design of complete RF power systems, covering architecture, schematic, and layout.
• Ensure accurate RF power diagnostics and metrology.
• Collaborate with engineers and scientists to gather system requirements.
• Help define firmware requirements.
• Source components and lead manufacturing efforts for your designs.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an Electrical Engineering program.
• Experience building RF systems.
• Proficiency in RF resonant power amplifier design in the 100s of Watts range.
• Experience with RF power measurement sensor design.
• Strong skills in hands-on prototyping and testing.
• Ability to handle cable harness design, documentation, and fabrication.
