Automation Software Engineering Intern - Fall

About the role#

As an Automation Software Engineering Intern for the fall term, you will join an integrated engineering team focused on building semiconductor fabrication equipment. This role offers significant autonomy on interdisciplinary projects, allowing you to take ownership of mission-critical work. You will contribute to initiatives that scale and accelerate the fabrication process and address challenges to improve robot efficiency. This position requires a commitment of 4 to 8 months starting in September.

What you'll do#

• Develop real-time applications using Linux and Rust to control semiconductor fabrication equipment.
• Design algorithms and simulations for robotic control systems.
• Work on initiatives to scale and accelerate the semiconductor fabrication process.
• Tackle engineering problems to improve the efficiency of robotic systems.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Python, C, or C++.
• Demonstrated experience in robotics software.
• Familiarity with motor controllers, path planning, and trajectory control is preferred.
• Familiarity with feedback control systems and computer vision applications is a plus.

• Compensation: $110,000 – $132,000 annualized equivalent, plus a housing stipend.
