    About the role#

    Atlas Aerospace is seeking a Summer Manufacturing Engineer Intern for the 2026 term. This full-time, on-site position in Wichita, Kansas, focuses on supporting manufacturing processes through technical analysis and documentation. Interns will collaborate with internal teams to resolve technical issues and ensure production meets quality and delivery requirements.

    What you'll do#

    • Analyze technical documents, including drawings, manufacturing routers, and parts lists (BOMs).
    • Use CATIA software for design, drafting, and analysis.
    • Evaluate engineering and production data to propose process improvements.
    • Review and update customer change notifications.
    • Develop manufacturing plans based on customer requirements and establish Product Configuration Control Information (PCCI).

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace, Electrical, or Computer Engineering.
    • Ability to read and interpret customer drawings, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
    • Familiarity with MRP systems and various manufacturing processes.
    • Proficiency in reading portable measuring equipment.
    • Strong communication skills for interacting with departments and the shop floor.
