Procurement Student - Fall

About the role#

The Procurement Student position provides administrative support to the procurement team, including Buyers, Order Administrators, Expeditors, and Procurement Engineering. This role handles sensitive financial information and supports project-based activities for the nuclear engineering group.

What you'll do#

• Manage clerical duties related to requisitions, purchase orders, change orders, distribution, and filing.
• Support Procurement and Quality Management with reporting and general administrative tasks.
• Process Non-Disclosure Agreements and serve as the custodian of the proposal submission inbox.
• Act as a material control administrator to support Procurement Engineering.
• Register supplier documentation in the document management system.
• Assist with logistics, invoicing, and accounts payable activities in coordination with Finance.
• Create and issue small-dollar, best commercial goods purchase orders, including Pcard transactions.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in or completion of post-secondary studies in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Accounting, or equivalent work experience.
• Administrative experience in a busy office environment.
• Proficiency in database entry, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
• Exceptional time management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a project environment.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively within a team.
• Previous administrative experience in a procurement environment is considered an asset.
