Electrical/I&C Engineering Student - Fall

About the role#

This is a full-time, paid internship opportunity for the Fall 2026 term. As an Electrical/I&C Engineering Student, you will join the engineering team to support the design and delivery of nuclear and conventional systems. You will gain hands-on experience through training, mentoring, and direct involvement in project activities within a multidisciplinary environment.

What you'll do#

• Assist engineers and discipline leads with daily engineering tasks and design phases for nuclear electrical systems.
• Support the development of electrical engineering deliverables in alignment with project requirements and quality assurance programs.
• Coordinate tasks across multidisciplinary teams, including project management, document control, and field teams.
• Facilitate document reviews and manage responses to Requests for Information (RFI).
• Participate in technical and project coordination meetings to contribute to project discussions.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an Electrical Engineering, Engineering Science, or Mathematics program at an accredited Canadian university.
• Ability to apply principles of physics, mathematics, and engineering to practical problem-solving.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Aptitude for utilizing analytical and design tools such as MATLAB, ETAP, and MathCAD.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to produce technical writing and engage professionally with colleagues, clients, and contractors.
