Mechanical & Chemical Engineering Student - Fall

About the role#

This is a full-time, paid student position for the Fall 2026 term. You will join the Nuclear Engineering team to gain hands-on experience by applying engineering principles to real-world projects, supporting the development and delivery of nuclear technologies.

What you'll do#

• Support Engineers, Discipline Leads, and Engineering Managers with daily engineering activities.
• Assist in the development and assembly of engineering deliverables for nuclear and conventional mechanical systems.
• Contribute to project execution in accordance with AtkinsRéalis Inc. and Candu Energy Quality Assurance Programs.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including Document Control, Project Management, and field teams.
• Collaborate on workflow, document reviews, and Request for Information (RFI) activities.
• Attend technical and project coordination meetings to support project delivery.

What you'll need#

• Currently enrolled in a Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related engineering program at an accredited Canadian university.
• Ability to apply mechanical, chemical, or process engineering fundamentals to develop practical solutions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Aptitude for planning, organization, multitasking, and coordination.
• Basic knowledge of analytical and design tools, such as MATLAB or MathCAD, is considered an asset.
