Civil Engineering Student - Fall

About the role#

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Civil Engineering student for a Fall 2026 term. This position provides hands-on experience within a nuclear engineering environment, offering exposure to technical, engineering interface, and project management activities. You will work on-site in Mississauga, Ontario, supporting various projects under the guidance of experienced engineers and discipline leads.

What you'll do#

• Support engineers, discipline leads, and engineering managers with daily engineering activities and project coordination.
• Assist in delivering work in accordance with AtkinsRéalis Inc. / Candu Energy Quality Assurance Programs and project requirements.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams on assigned task scopes.
• Collaborate with the civil team to facilitate workflow, document reviews, and Request for Information (RFI) correspondence.
• Attend and participate in technical and project coordination meetings.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Civil Engineering program at an accredited Canadian university.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with MATLAB, MathCAD, or StaadPro.
• Ability to apply engineering principles to practical solutions.
• Strong aptitude for planning, organization, and multitasking.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
