About the role#
AtkinsRéalis is hiring an ITS/Traffic Engineering Intern for the Winter 2027 term in Orlando, Florida. This is a part-time, on-site position. You will gain hands-on experience by supporting project delivery and assisting with field operations.
What you'll do#
- Develop plans, specifications, and project documentation.
- Compile project data and prepare reports.
- Review ITS device locations and manage inventories.
- Create exhibits and figures using MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Conduct site visits and field investigations.
- Verify traffic signal equipment and document field conditions with photos.
- Perform ITS inventory collection.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least 60 credit hours toward a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship.
- 0-2 years of experience in a related technical field.
- Basic computer skills for data entry.
- Math skills for simple calculations and a willingness to learn.

- Compensation: $25 - $31 per hour, based on skills and experience.
