About the role#
ATCS is hiring Civil Engineering Interns for our Summer 2027 program. This is a full-time, paid internship based in Newport News, Virginia. You will work in a hybrid environment, splitting your time between on-site project work and other settings. We aim to provide exposure to real projects and mentorship from our staff.
What you'll do#
- Support engineers and staff with daily project tasks.
- Use engineering and design software to prepare project documents.
- Collect, organize, and analyze project data.
- Work with your team to finish tasks and meet project goals.
- Provide administrative support to keep project workflows moving.
- Handle other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a B.S. in Civil Engineering.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well within a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
- Previous internship experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Microstation is a plus.
