About the role#
Associated Electric Cooperative Inc. is seeking a Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) Engineering intern for the summer of 2027. Based at the Thomas Hill Power Plant, this role supports our efforts to maintain reliable power generation across our coal and gas fleet.
What you'll do#
- Assist Reliability and Predictive Maintenance Engineers with daily engineering tasks.
- Support the design and implementation of reliability improvement initiatives across multiple sites.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to troubleshoot and solve complex engineering challenges.
- Gather and analyze data to improve operational efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Participate in projects that may require overnight or extended stays at plant sites in Missouri, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree program.
- At least two years of coursework completed toward a Bachelor of Science degree.
- Experience with engineering software tools such as AutoCAD or MATLAB.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A proactive attitude and interest in the power production industry.
