About the role#
This paid summer internship provides hands-on experience at the New Madrid Power Plant. You will work alongside experienced professionals to support environmental compliance and workplace safety initiatives. This position offers a view into how EH&S practices support reliable power generation.
What you'll do#
- Assist EH&S professionals with projects focused on environmental compliance and occupational safety.
- Support environmental monitoring, data collection, and compliance tasks related to air, water, and waste.
- Help with workplace safety inspections, audits, and training sessions to protect employees and plant operations.
- Gain exposure to regulatory requirements and utility operations within a power generation setting.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university degree program in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
- A genuine interest in environmental compliance, workplace health and safety, or the utility industry.
- Ability to commit to a three-month summer internship.
