About the role#
As a Student Worker for the Student Post Office and Campus Store, you serve as a primary contact for students, faculty, and staff. You will handle daily mail operations and assist customers with their shopping needs. This role requires 8 to 15 hours of work per week.
What you'll do#
Your mail responsibilities include receiving, sorting, and delivering campus mail and packages. You will operate mail metering machines, process outgoing U.S. mail, and forward student mail. You are also responsible for correcting misdirected items.
In the Campus Store, you will manage inventory by restocking shelves and arranging merchandise. You will staff the front counter, operate the point-of-sale system, and assist customers. You will also pick and pack online orders, label new products, and keep snack stations stocked. At the end of your shift, you will reconcile the cash drawer.
What you'll need#
You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet for long periods. The role involves walking and lifting packages for up to an hour at a time. You need to be proficient with numbers and comfortable counting cash. We look for students who are prompt, professional in speech and appearance, and capable of writing clear emails. A willingness to help others is essential.

This is an on-site position located in Wilmore, Kentucky. The role is paid and follows a rolling term.
