About the role#
As an Electrical Engineer Intern at Armstrong World Industries, you will gain hands-on experience in a large-scale manufacturing environment. You will work on-site to support capital engineering projects and learn about equipment reliability, asset management, and process improvement.
What you'll do#
- Complete an assigned engineering project throughout your internship term.
- Troubleshoot electrical manufacturing equipment on the plant floor.
- Contribute to ongoing capital engineering projects across various plant areas.
- Gain exposure to the Project Management Life Cycle, including project specifications, scheduling, installation oversight, and closing activities.
- Participate in sustainability initiatives and learn safe working practices.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program for Electrical Engineering with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
- You must be within 24 months of graduation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to manage your time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Previous internship experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

- This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Pennsylvania.
- The internship follows a rolling term schedule.
